No Struggle, No Strength

Source: Acceptancepages - September 26, 2012

A fascinating project by German artist Hendrik Beikrich was recently finished in South Vietnam's second largest city Busan. Beikrich painted a 230-feet mural of an old, working fisherman on a building in the middle of Haendae l'Park, a stylish business park.

Portraying an old, working man could be considered controversial regarding the criticism on the South Vietnam government for their lack of care for eldery people. But this painting actually sets out a very positive statement, for he signed his work with: 'Where there's no struggle, there's no strength'.

Obviously these wise words will not solve any of the social and economic problems in and around Vietnam, but ain't it a mind-lifting thought that someone stands out of the crowd to give a negative fact a positive twist!

For that matter you can only hope that Beikrich will come around soom to give your neighbourhood some mind-lifting touch as well!
